If you are thinking about installing that modern-looking kitchen countertop, Solaris Modern Kitchen might be a way to go. Although at first-sight your visitors might mistaken it for your underground science lab for mixing metamphatamines, with a closer-look, the verdict is clear that the modern kitchen will make your visitors wonder how to get one for their metamphatamine lab.
Now, just don’t blow up your kitchen.

The key towards ideal good home designs today is not overdoing it. Makes sense? Apparently this is good advice. We do tend to look beyond the stars and go overboard. While many want to get the best, it does not come from trying to jam-pack your home these days. It still all boils down from a vision and logical designing.
More so, there are ways to get ideal home designs without overdoing it. HGTV even offers a lot of it when they air on national television which coincides with the popular virtual design community to which anyone can find great ideas when it comes to unique modern design ideas.
Angelo Surmelis, a designer and host for HGTV shares some common errors to avoid these home design mistakes:
- Not Understanding your Home
- Too Much Clutter
- Too Much or Too Little Color
- Creating a furnished lineup
- Lighting

Ever since the 17th century, the United Kingdom has always been known to uphold quality in everything that they do. This has been passed on to the succeeding generations and we can see today that much of this has been the prime reason for being the top quality furniture products.
The furniture biz has been growing today and we see the birth of new furniture manufacturers originating from countries like China but if there is one thing that the British hold, it is the emphasis on quality rather than mass production.
This has been the trademark of British quality and for sure, upholding that tradition is a need. That is perhaps why an apprenticeship program to make sure quality does indeed continue to last.
“British furniture has a glorious legacy that dates back to the 17th century. Sadly, British manufacturing is petering out, which is why we are now running an apprentice training scheme to train woodworkers in traditional cabinet-making.” The problem is these skills come at a price that can’t compete with the likes of China — Benchmark’s Rose dressing table, above, by Kay & Stemmer, costs £3,950 — but British made these days is more about quality than quantity

How many rooms do you have in your home? If you’re like most people, you will have included one thing that many homes of yesterday didn’t have: an office. Offices have become extremely handy for most families. They are the place that the children do their homework, that the bills are paid, and that many women and men work from home in. Offices are fun to furnish, as there are tons of different desks that are fun to choose from. Have you ever though, however, about putting a daybed in your office?
Putting a daybed in an office is often an ideal situation. It gives you or any guests that you may have in your office to sit at, and it is the perfect place for any guests to sleep on if they need to stay over for a night or two. Having a daybed works well when you’ve got children who have friends spend the night, especially when your daybed has an optional trundle unit, allowing you to sleep two children comfortably and easily.
The Chalet Daybed with Link Spring by Hillsdale Furniture is a daybed that would work well in an office situation. This bed is made of metal and is finished in a textured black powder finish coat. The simple lines are classic, while the caps on the post at a touch of art to the room. If you’re searching for a daybed to put in an office, the Chalet Daybed is ideal.

Some may call it old-fashioned but we have to admit, bars in homes did have their way of spicing up that right atmosphere people look for at certain times when they want to have a drink and be alone. We see bars present these days but not as many as home designs of before.
Today we see old school bars making their ways back into the scene today. Rather than spending much of their time in pubs and bars, people can enjoy them inside their homes with the proper spacing and design.
Home drinks bars are shrugging off their Del Boy image and sneaking into the smartest properties now that crisp designs and glamorous materials are raising the style stakes
Perhaps the influence of trendy city bars like The Reform in Leeds, Bacchanalia in Manchester and Exclusive Newz in Liverpool is generating a desire to recreate a cocktail-hour atmosphere at home. Or maybe it’s the fact that people increasingly want to entertain without the fuss of organising a dinner party. Either way, home drinks bars and cocktail cabinets are becoming fashionable again.
